our allies

We've collaborated with and gotten help from a bunch of groups along the way. These are the groups we've worked closest with:

All City
All City

All City is an education and activist group based out of Hunter College. Their goal is to create a community and environment of people and programs that empower people to create and take control of their lives. Building these spaces is a step towards creating our own autonomous institutions which actually serve students and youth in the city– and the oppressed communities of NYC for which real education is denied.

YELL
Young Eclectic Liberation Leaders (YELL)

YELL! is a youth activist group based out of The Renaissance School. It was founded in 2004 with the mission of ending apathy among the youth and getting them interested in issues that affect them. YELL! has organized two city-wide youth activist conferences, with workshops like "Education for Liberation", "Youth and the Morning-After Pill", "Radical Cheerleading", "Visual Resistance".

The Icarus Project
The Icarus Project

The Icarus Project envisions a new culture and language that resonates with our actual experiences of extreme states of consciousness rather than trying to fit our lives into a conventional framework. We are a network of people living with the dangerous gifts that are commonly labeled as bipolar or related 'mental illness.'

The Icarus Project is a collaborative, participatory adventure fueled by inspiration and mutual aid. We bring the Icarus vision to reality through an Icarus national staff collective and a grassroots network of autonomous local support groups across the US and beyond.

Global Youth Action Network
Global Youth Action Network

GYAN works to:
:: facilitate youth participation and intergenerational partnership in global decision-making;
:: support collaboration among diverse youth organizations; and to
:: provide tools, resources, and recognition for positive youth action.

GYAN believes that critical issues facing the planet demand every generation's attention and commitment; and that if we are to solve these problems in our life, then we must act, and combine our efforts to guarantee a future of peace, justice and sustainability.

Youth Venture

A Venture can be any youth-created, youth-led organization designed to provide a positive lasting benefit in a school, neighborhood, or large community.
