Who wants to learn (or teach) Spanish or other languages?

Welcome to the language learning group. We probably won't really meet up in person until the summer (or closer to it), but we can do some things online in the meantime.

Where is everyone at in terms of learning Spanish?

In my case, I've studied a little bit using Rosetta Stone (www.rosettastone.com -- you can do some lessons for free on their online demo), and I've had some help from my roommates, but that was mostly a while back. I also got a book, which I haven't really studied yet. I can understand a very little bit of spoken conversation, but I have a long ways to go. I'd really like to get at least to the point where I can get by understanding and speaking in everyday situations entirely in Spanish.

I need to figure out how this learning goal fits into my overall schedule, including other things I want to learn and my job and so on. I tend to get interested in learning or doing things, but then fail to keep up with them to the extent required to make sustained progress. So, maybe I could plan to devote a certain number of hours per week to Spanish. I'll think about it and post my learning plan to the group.

Also, what languages other than Spanish does everyone know or want to learn? (There's English, but that's more a topic for the writing group.) I can read some German, and understand a little bit spoken. I've spent a tiny bit of time on languages like French, Romanian, and Italian. I'm interested in learning the basics of a lot of different languages, but that'll take a while.
