Alright, so it's gonna be held up at my house in harlem, if that's ok with everyone. we can meet downtown and I can bring you all up or we can meet up here. If you can get your own cutting tools and inks tell me before friday, if you can't I will buy them and share them. Bring inks of any color you want and cool paper of any style you want (wrapping paper, wall paper, computer paper, etc.). And if you want we can dish out our linoleum thursday and cut out designs so we don't have to spend a lot of time cutting on friday. Questions? Comments? Complaints? Hit me up.

cool!

we can bring some paper (white cardstock and brown kraft paper), a cutting tool with 5 tips, a brayer and a presser thing. We shuld at least look at the linoleum on thursday so we can start thinking about our designs. But if we're in bluestockings or in the garden, it might be hard to spread out and start cutting. I dunno, i guess we might as well bring stuff on thursday in case we have time.

Cutting and drawing

well people could take the lino home and cut it/draw their design on it. It's relief printing so anything you cut out will be white and when it's printed it'll be opposite (ex: letters will be backwards. Also there's some cool techniques for making grays even though it's just black and white so we might as well learn those on thursday so we can make mad cool blocks. I am insanely tired I hope this was all spelled right and made sense. So I'll bring the lino tomorrow and we'll work the rough spots out then.

love peace and hairgrease!

Rabia

This sounds cool... one thing I'm not sure if anyone noticed is that Rabia is playing Friday at Martini Red in Staten Island. The time listed is 6pm although I'm sure they'll actually play later than that. Anyway, (without realizing the overlap) I've been planning to go to both that show and the linoleum cutting. I'll try to find out exactly when Rabia goes on -- maybe I (or whoever else wants to go) could make it to both.
