so I know these learning groups are here to help us learn what we want to know. But I wondered if anyone was interested in helping to learn things I don't want to learn. Basically I'm doing pretty badly in most of my classes (except french and english) so if anyone knows geometry and chemistry and global history, I'd love to get together and talk about it. I'll teach you french and spanish and show you movies if you want in exchange.

wish i could...

wow, that's a good point! I was never any good at the subjects you mentioned (except maybe history, though i doubt i remember all the details at this point. Most HS students actually know a lot of those subjects better than i do because i 've been away from the for so long (haven't taken math or chemistry since 10th grade). Perhaps there are others who have more knowledge on these subjects and can help you. Are there any tutoring programs in your school? You might find something at yr local library as well. I seem to remember a pretty big library right by LaGuardia...

so unfortunately i personally don't know much about the subjects you need help with, but i may be able to help find someone who does...

what i can offer

actually this is a good idea, posting what our knowledge and skills are so that we can share them

i think i'm pretty good at editing people's writing and giving suggestions

i have some basic experience and sensibilities with the visual arts and graphic design, though i want to learn much more, also i am pretty familiar with the screenprinting process

I know adobe photoshop pretty well, and have some knowledge of illustrator as well.

i know a little bit about creating websites

and i am gaining some knowledge about gardening

that's about it

good idea :)

I know some global history, but I probably can't help much with chemistry. Maybe geometry if I can look up how to do things, lol.

I'd probably be most helpful with English, anything along the lines of psychology or the social sciences, or anything computer or tech-related. Also anything to do with research in general. I'm also pretty good at figuring out just about any topic and explaining it.
