commune?

I can't find the thread, but someone was talking about starting a commune on staten island a while ago. I haven't heard anything about it for a while, and I was wanting to make sure it was still in the works at least. I hope it is, because right now it's really looking like I'll be heading up to New York after high school, and if the commune was at least getting set up it would really help, especially since I wouldn't have to worry about finding a place to live. So just let me know what's going on with it. Thanks.

Heh, not a "commune", but we are looking to get more people we know living around here and possibly including getting another apartment or house around here. So definitely keep in touch, something may well work out. When exactly might you want to move here?

You'd have to find a way to pay rent, but it should be possible to find some kind of job... And we are hoping to get some MYN projects going before long that can pay those who work on them.

I have one more year of high

I have one more year of high school left so I was planning on spending the summer after that at home and then heading up that fall. I was planning to find a job to help pay rent anyway and if MYN members got paid that would help too. Living space is just so expensive in New York that sharing a space with a couple people would really help.
