grants | Misled Youth

ok, so as you all know, we are broke and need to raise money for all these projects we're doing. There are a few grants out there that we may be able to get. i thought we could try to fill out the applications together. The first one is due sept 30th, it's called the new yorkers for better neighborhoods awards. we can get from $500 to $3000. The application is a pdf so i can't copy and paste, i'm just going to write down some of the mail questions, and we can start filling them out together.

why did your group form? what is your group's purpose?

briefly describe your group's history and accomplishments

briefly describe the project for which your group would like funding is it new or ongoing?

what are your project's goals?

how will your project benefit your community?

the next part of the application is to outl;ine a work plan of what steps we plan to take in the next 6 months. we need to write the step, who will be responsible for doing it, and the date when we hope to complete it.

This grant looks really promising. I'll help with writing it. One question is, what should the focus of the grant be? For example, a big current expense is renovating the space, and an upcoming expense is paying for materials like ink, shirts, fabric, paper, etc... But there are other things too. Let's brainstorm possible expenses over the next year or so, and maybe out of that we could pick what should be included in the grant. The space itself could apply for grants, too.
