Ok so here are a few of my many drawings. They're just rough sketches, so imagine them as full color paintings, that's what I hope to do with them eventually.

I like to keep a certain sense of anonymity with my art (hence the stick figures). It helps to make them a little more personal I think because the figures could represent anyone or anything for all kinds of different viewers.

.

your drawings are cool, they seem very symbolic. Like you twist reality around to describe an emotion. I like the lettering in "disassemble your reality".

I have this book called Heavy Light which shows the art of this guy De Es Schwertberger, they say his style is Fantastic Realism. I was googling his name to see if i could find some pics, and found this book that's a collection of a bunch of artists who work in a similar style, usually very spiritual stuff. Here's the link:

also i found a forum about the subject:

visionaryartforum.com

just stuff i thought you might like
with painting, they saw that pastels (oil and chalk) are the step in between drawing and painting. have you tried them? I like them a lot -- they're very vibrant and easy to blend. I actually have a huge box of them i need to get rid of. i could probably mail you some.

also wooden mannequins are cool of you don't have a real model to help you see the poses. Actually I've just started working as an art model, so i think about those things quite a bit.

just some random thoughts...

Drawings

Hey really like them - very imaginative .

Cool mixture of symbols - fantasy - & "real" scenes .

Stuff I draw tends to also be very "liney" ... just IMO .. but maybe fill in some bits .. doesnt need to be all .. some .. with some colour to show whats further away .. whats not .. to create even more a sense of space then alredy achieved through your line use .. .

To give it "atmossphere" & explain the forms of the shapes .

But just IMO - it is your work - feel absolutly free to ignore my opinion Smiling

EDIT : kid_prototype : "..started working as an art model" .. uhh

Gettin naked for art .. Smiling
Or is it dressed modeling ?

Thanks for the advice man.

Thanks for the advice man. I'm actually in the process of turning a number of my sketches into paintings. I've gotten a good number done already and I should be able to finish a lot more this summer and in AP art next year. I'll try to get some pictures of my paintings to put on here if I can.
